The Welkom Campus, which serves as a training ground for students studying hospitality and education, is located in the center of the city. Students have access to tools for vocational assessment that place them in settings resembling hotels, restaurants, and bars along with child care facilities. On-campus job shadowing opportunities for hospitality students are available in a fully equipped culinary kitchen, restaurant, bar, and executive bedchamber.

Conditions for Applying to Welkom Tvet College

a year-end school report for an NQF Level 1 Qualification for Grades 9 or Higher (STD 7/Form 2/ABET 4).
A preference will be given to students in grades 11 and 12.
Grades 9 or higher with a pass percentage in English are required for the placement test, which must be taken in order for the college to refer a learner to an appropriate program.

Grade 9 – 60% (AL4)
Grade 10 – 50 (AL3)
Grade 11 – 45 % (AL2)
Grade 12 – 40% (AL2)
