ABOUT VHEMBE TVET COLLEGE
Vhembe TVET College was established in 1963 and was previously known as Bantu State School.
In 1967, the school was renamed Bantu Trade School to reflect its diversity. The school was known as Finyazwanda College until 1992, when it was renamed Technical College of Venda (Techniven) until 2003. Vhembe FET College was our name from 2003 to 2014.
Makwarela Campus, Tshisimani Campus, Mashamba Campus, Mavhoi Campus, Thengwe Campus, Shingwedzi Campus, and Makhado Satellite Campus are the six campuses that make up Vhembe TVET College. Vhembe TVET College is located in the Vhembe District Municipality, which is in the far north of Limpopo Province.
The District is made up of four municipalities: Thulamela, Makhado, Lim 345 (Collins Chabane Municipality), and Musina, with Thohoyandou serving as the seat. It has a total area of 21, 000 km2, or 18% of the province’s total territory. The college’s six campuses include Makwarela, Mashamba, Mavhoi, Tshisimani, Thengwe, and the newly opened Shingwedzi.
The Central Office of Vhembe TVET College is at Sibasa, around 3 kilometers from Makwarela Campus, 49 kilometers from Mavhoi, 77 kilometers from Mashamba, 31 kilometers from Tshisimani Campus, and 29 kilometers from Mutale’s Thengwe Campus.
Learnerships and short skills courses, as well as NCV and Report 191 Business Studies programs, are among its specialties.
The Shingwedzi Campus in Malamulele, which will open in 2017 and is 42 kilometers from the Central Office, as well as a satellite campus in Musina, have been established by the college and the DHET.

REQUIREMENTS FOR ELIGIBILITY
Everyone applying to college will be asked to submit the following documents:
- a certified copy of the applicant’s most recent school results/qualifications
- Proof of admission fee payment (certified copy of parent/guardian ID)
- A unique email address is necessary, as well as a phone number.
VHEMBE TVET COLLEGE COURSES ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Course Requirements for NC(V);
- In order to account for possible topic failures, students are allowed to study for a maximum of four years for NC (V) Levels 2, 3, and 4.
- NQF1 (Grade 9) and AET Level 4 are the minimum entry criteria.
- The NC (V) policy has led and aligned the entry requirements.
For qualification admission, a point system will be used.
Requirements for Occupational Courses
- Minimum admittance requirements based on QCTO/SETA-approved registered Skills Programs/Learnerships.
- A student who has previously enrolled in NC(V) or Report 191 programs will only be considered for an Occupational Program if they have finished the NC(V) or Report 191 program in its entirety (passed all subjects).
Additional Admissions Requirements
- The College Council has created new admission requirements for NC(V) level 2, Report 191 N1, and Report 191 N4 utilizing a point system in order to improve the quality and performance of specialized programs.
