INTRODUCTION TO UZMFOLOZI TVET COLLEGE

uMfolozi TVET College is one of only 50 public Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Colleges in South Africa. It is one of nine in the province of KwaZulu-Natal.
Chief Albert Luthuli, Eshowe, Esikhawini, Mandeni, and Richtek, Sundumbili/Isithebe, Bambanana, and Nkandla are the College’s eight primary campuses.
Jininindomnyama, Nseleni, Thubelihle, Alton, Maphumulo, and the ZCBF Community Park are among the six skills centres.
The National Certificate (Vocational) and N4-N6 Diploma programs are among the national business and engineering programs offered by the College.
The College’s wide range of skills programs guarantees that it is also serving the demand for skills training at the grassroots level.
At uMfolozi College, learnership and co-operative programs are also quite popular. In Mandeni, the College has a SETA-accredited Training Centre. Electrician, Fitter, Fitter & Turner, and Instrument Mechanic trade examinations are all available at the centre.

  • The deadline for applications is November 30, 2023.

UZMFOLOZI TVET COLLEGE ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

NC(V) Course Requirements;

  • In order to account for possible topic failures, students are allowed to study for a maximum of four years for NC (V) Levels 2, 3, and 4.
  • NQF1 (Grade 9) and AET Level 4 are the minimum entry criteria.
  • The NC (V) policy has led and aligned the entry requirements.
    For qualification admission, a point system will be used.

Report 191 Courses Requirements;

  • Minimum entrance requirements as aligned by the NATED Policy. Students who have passed to Grade 12/NC (V) Level 4 will be admitted to N4.
  • Students who have passed grades 9, 10, 11, or 12 who want to pursue an artisan career will be admitted to N1 based on a point system

Occupational Courses Requirements

  • Minimum entrance requirements as per registered Skills Program/Learnership approved by QCTO/SETA
  • To be eligible to apply for an Occupational Program a student who previously enrolled for NC(V) or Report 191 programs will only be considered if such a student has fully completed the NC(V) or Report 191 program (passed all subjects).

Additional Requirements for Admission

  • In order to improve the quality and performance of specialized programs, the College Council has established new admission requirements for NC(V) level 2, Report 191 N1, and Report 191 N4 using a point system.
