I’d like to apply, but I didn’t do so within the application period.
So, what should I do now?
You must apply for admission during the next application period; for further information, go to https://unisaregistration.com/unisa-registration/.

DeadlineWe have changed our application/registration model to be open and continuous. This means that applications will remain open throughout the year.

As a result, we advise potential undergraduate students to apply online or using paper-based application forms.
(Applications received after this date will not be considered; please apply early in the application cycle to guarantee your application is reviewed.)
If spots are available, late applications may be accepted.

  • Who is required to apply for or register for Unisa Online 2021-2022?
Anyone interested in beginning a new qualification must apply for admission.
This includes first-time Unisa applicants as well as current Unisa students who are switching to a new certification.
  • Anyone who has completed a Higher Certificate or an Alternative Pathway / Extended Program must apply for admission to the next level of education.
  • If you previously applied for admission and received feedback but did not register for any reason, you must reapply.

  • Please note: If you previously applied for admission and were offered a spot, but did not accept the offer and/or did not register for whatever reason, you must reapply.

Can I transfer from another university to Unisa?
Yes, unless you were previously expelled or suspended from a higher education school due to wrongdoing.
You must, however, apply to Unisa.

Can I register with Unisa and another university simultaneously?

  • Only if your registration at Unisa is for a non-degree qualification and you have written authorization from the other university to register concurrently.
  • This formal consent must be submitted at the time of application and registration.
  • Remember that you must first apply for a Unisa student number if you do not already have one.
  • Is it possible for me to register for two?
or more formal programs at Unisa simultaneously?
    Unfortunately not.

What are the registration dates and times for formal qualifications?

  • Courier: There is no additional fee to courier your study material. Please ensure that someone is available to take receipt of your study material pack.
  • Post: Provide Unisa with a correct address, suburb and postal code, and a valid cellphone number.

  • Once your shipment is ready for collection at your specified collection site, Unisa will send you an SMS.
If you do not collect your study material pack within two working days (48 hours) of getting the SMS, the South African Post Office will send it to you via ordinary mail.
  • This option is only available for your first study pack.
The South African Post Office will send subsequent documents by conventional mail delivery.
After you’ve completed your registration, go to myUnisa to access and download your study materials for your modules.
