How to apply?
Applicants who plan to enroll for classes at a Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) college under the Unisa-TVET agreement may apply via the relevant TVET college or at Unisa via the online or self-help options.
Upload supporting documents
- The required documents must be submitted by everyone who is applying for a new qualification (all first-time applicants and Unisa students starting a new qualification).
- The deadline for uploading the required documents is the application deadline.
No documents will be accepted after the application deadline has passed. - Scanners and electrical equipment are not provided by Unisa.
Before beginning the application process, please make sure that all of your documents have been scanned and transferred to an electronic device.
Pay the application fee once you’ve received a student number from Unisa
- R110 for online applications
- R170 for hard copy applications (hard copy applications will only be considered in exceptional cases)
- Use the student number you receive from Unisa AND the application fee reference number (ie STUDENTNUMBER 5370810030)
- Visit www.unisa.ac.za/paymentinfo for banking details and payment information.
This money is non-refundable regardless of whether you decide not to study at Unisa, do not qualify for admission to Unisa, or are unable to be awarded a spot owing to space constraints.
At any of Unisa’s offices, cash is not accepted.
- The application fee must be paid by the closing date of the application period.
- Any application submitted without an application fee paid on time will not be processed.
Please preserve a copy of your receipt as proof of payment. - Check to see if your application is complete.
- You will have to reapply during the next application season if your application for admission to study through Unisa is incomplete.
