Undergraduate qualifications (higher certificates, advanced certificates, diplomas, advanced diplomas & degrees): 20 August – 27 September 2021-2022.
Honors degrees & postgraduate diplomas: 20 August – 27 September 2021-2022.
Master’s & doctoral qualifications: 10 September – 8 November 2021-2022.

Everyone wanting to start a new qualification must apply for admission. This includes

first-time Unisa applicants
Unisa students changing to a new qualification and / or specialiaztion
applicants who previously applied for admission and were either not offered a space or were offered a space and did not register
students completing a higher certificate or alternative pathway / extended program who wish to continue with further undergraduate studies

First Apply and Then Register
After your application to study at Unisa has been accepted, you will need to register.
You will receive an email confirming your application’s success.
Your student number will be included in your confirmation email, which you will use when registering.

Registration Period

You can register for the academic year at Unisa within a designated registration period.
Your registration will be considered unsuccessful if you do not register during the registration period.
As previously announced, registration for the second semester will begin on June 10, 2021-2022 and end on July 13, 2021-2022.
