INTRODUCTION TO SWGC ONLINE APPLICATION
The South West Gauteng Institution is a public Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) college that is governed by the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) and operates under the Continuing Education and Training Act, Act No.16 of 2006, as amended. Umalusi and different Sector Education and Training Authorities (Setas) have granted the College certification to provide education and training, particularly in the FET band (NQF Level 2 to 4).
SWGC is well-known for its excellent vocational education and training. Their main goal is to make innovative use of all college resources in order to improve service delivery, employability, and student entrepreneurship while also adhering to ISO standards.
SWGC Application Deadline
It’s crucial to realize that if you take a vocational course like Engineering Studies, Business Studies, or Utility Studies, you won’t need to finish Grade 12 because institutions provide three-year vocational certificates.
Only Grade 9 is required for this certificate, however it is best suited to students who have finished Grade 11 or even Grade 12.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR SWGC ONLINE APPLICATION
According to the College, all applications must be accompanied by supporting documents. The following papers must be brought along with the completed application forms:
- a certified copy of the most recent qualification/results a certified copy of your identity document
- Please submit a medical statement from a qualified doctor if you have a handicap or ongoing medical condition that necessitates special assistance from the College.
HOW TO APPLY TO SWGC ONLINE APPLICATION
Stage 1:
- Find a course on the website, add it to your shopping cart, and check out.
- Search our college website for the course you want to enroll in.
- Before submitting your application, review the information you’ve entered and make any required changes.
- You will be taken to the admissions portal after selecting ‘Apply Now.’
- *You have the option of applying for up to three courses.
Stage 2:
- Go to the admissions portal and log in.
- You must first create an account on our admissions portal before submitting your application online.
- To create an account, click ‘Create Account.’
- To log in, enter your username and password if you have already registered.
- If you’ve forgotten your username, look for it in the email you received when you created your account.
- If you forget your password, click the “Forgot your password?” link and follow the instructions supplied to your email address.
Step 3:
- Finish and submit your application.
- Fill out the online application form with your personal information.
- Examine the data you’ve gathered.
- You will be asked to offer a choice or course preference to each of the courses you are applying for, as well as how you heard about the course, once you have completed the application.
- You will be invited to choose an interview slot if interview dates have been lined up.
- Note: If alternative qualifications or experience can be provided, many courses’ conventional entry requirements may be waived.
