This online application will provide students with a comprehensive overview of all tertiary education institutions in South Africa.   • Maluti TVET College is a Technical Vocational Education and Training institution in South Africa’s Free State province. The College was founded on September 1, 2002, as a result of the merger of two former Colleges of Education and three former Technical Colleges in South Africa’s Free State region. In order to change people’s lives, the College focuses on creating a culture of excellence, creativity, and achievement that encourages entrepreneurship and employability. Maluti TVET College is a multi-campus college with one main campus and seven satellite campuses.
  • The specific goal of public TVET Colleges is to alleviate South Africa’s skills shortages by providing appropriate and responsive vocational and occupational programs.

APPLICATION OPENING AND CLOSING DATE: Applications close on November 30, 2023.

Admission Prerequisites

A school report for Grade 9 or above NQF Level 1 Qualification (STD 7/Form 2/ABET 4) at the end of the school year.
Students in grades 11 and 12 will be given priority.
The placement test is required in order for the College to refer a learner to the appropriate program.
Grade 9 or higher – learners with Agricultural Science as a subject will be given preference.
Learners who wish to enroll in Physical Science, an elective course, must obtain a pass percentage in both Mathematics and Physical Science as follows:

    • Grade 9 – 65% (AL4)
    • Grade 11 – 60 (AL3)
    • Grade 10 – 50 % (AL2)
    • Grade 12 – 40% (AL2)

Each level requires the following subjects:

  • English 1st Additional Language
  • Mathematics
  • Life Orientation

Students’ documents are required.

There are various prerequisites that must be satisfied before applying to any Maluti TVET College campus to study or obtain a skilled trade.

  • You should have a grade 9 diploma.
  • Applicants under the age of sixteen will be disqualified.
  • It should be noted that more advanced courses may necessitate higher certification: Engineering and higher-level disciplines require a greater degree of knowledge.
  • Most TVET colleges need you to take an admission exam as part of the application process. This enables the college to measure each student’s numeracy and reading abilities.
