ABOUT NORTHERN CAPE RURAL TVET COLLEGE

Northern Cape Rural TVET College is a Northern Cape rural TVET college. You are invited to study Certificate and Diploma programmes in Business and Engineering, among other subjects, at NCR TVET College in the Northern Cape. Completing any of these qualifications could lead to employment or university-level education in your chosen field.

The College is a well-equipped training center with the most up-to-date technology. Northern Cape Rural TVET College has a student help unit that cares after its students.
Student support is called when a student does not perform to his full ability or misses class, and they maintain track of their students.

They also provide student counseling, career options, and bursary assistance. Through the National Student Financial Aid Scheme, students at all 25 of our public universities, as well as the 50 public TVET colleges, can apply for loans and different NSFAS bursaries (NSFAS).

NORTHERN CAPE RURAL TVET COLLEGE COURSES ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS.

Course Requirements for NC(V);

  • Students are allowed to study for a maximum of four years for NC (V) Levels 2, 3, and 4 to account for any topic failures.
  • The minimal entrance criteria are NQF1 (Grade 9) and AET Level 4.
  • The entrance requirements have been led and coordinated by the NC (V) policy.
  • A point system will be utilized to determine qualification admission.

Requirements for 191 Courses;

  • Minimum admittance qualifications are established by the NATED Policy.
  • Students who have completed Grade 12/NC (V) Level 4 will be admitted to N4.
  • Students who have completed grades 9, 10, 11, or 12 and choose to pursue a career as an artisan will be admitted to N1 on a point system.

Requirements for Occupational Courses

  • Minimum admittance requirements based on QCTO/SETA-approved registered Skills Programs/Learnerships.
  • A student who has previously enrolled in NC(V) or Report 191 programs will only be considered for an Occupational Program if they have finished the NC(V) or Report 191 program in its entirety (passed all subjects).

Additional Admissions Requirements

  • In order to improve the quality and performance of specialized programs, the College Council has established new admission requirements for NC(V) level 2, Report 191 N1, and Report 191 N4 using a point system.
