Through the Mynsfas portal on the scheme’s website, NSFAS funded students can now update or amend their contact information.
This comes after NSFAS received feedback from concerned students who were unable to sign their bursary agreements because their information on the system was out of date.
The steps are outlined below.
- Go to my.nsfas.org.za and log in.
- Go to the option that says “I’ve already registered.”
- Enter your e-mail address and password.
- To sign in, click the sign in button.
- Select “Personal Information” from the drop-down menu.
- Go to the section where you can get phone numbers.
- Delete and replace the old cellphone number with the new one.
- Update the details by clicking the button.
- A one-time password (OTP) will be given to your new phone number.
- Enter the OTP and click Submit.
- The number has been updated successfully (if a duplicate number exists student will get an error message)
Students are also highly encouraged to set up accounts with MyNSFAS.
