If a change in your information prevents you from accessing your myNSFAS account, you may need to restore it. Here’s how to do that.
You will have a myNSFAS account if you are an NSFAS-funded student, which you would have created in order to apply for the bursary.
Students are required to create their myNSFAS accounts using an email address or mobile phone number; however, if your account information has changed, you may not be able to access it and will need to restore it.
Follow these steps to restore your myNSFAS account:
- Go to the NSFAS website: https://www.nsfas.org.za/content/
- Click on the ‘myNSFAS’ icon at the top right corner of the screen
- Click on the ‘Forgot Password’ icon
- Enter your ID number and verify
- Complete the questions that follow.
During this process, students must attach a copy of their ID, and after completing all steps, they will receive a reference number.
After that, NSFAS will notify the student via email or text message that the myNSFAS account has been approved successfully.
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) is a government bursary that helps financially disadvantaged South African students who want to attend public universities or TVET colleges study.
Students receive a variety of allowances in addition to tuition and registration costs covered by the NSFAS bursary. Transportation, living expenses, and educational materials are covered by these allowances.
NOTE. For more details, applicants can download THE NSFAS ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA AND CONDITIONS FOR FINANCIAL AID HERE.
