INTRODUCTION TO MNAMBITHI TVET COLLEGE
The Ladysmith Technical College, Ezakheni Technical College, Ezakheni Ex-college of Education, and Ezakheni Skills Centre merged to form Mnambithi TVET College in 2002.
Mnambithi TVET College is located in the KwaZulu-Natal midlands, near Ladysmith and Estcourt.
Estcourt, Weenen, Bergville, Winterton, Pomeroy, Msinga, Dundee, Van Reneen, Mooi River, Greytown, and Ladysmith are among its catchment regions.
The Department of Education and Culture established Ladysmith Technical College in the early 1960s.
Adult self-enrichment courses were the company’s first offering.
By 1984, the college had formalized its commercial courses, which ranged from N1 through N3.
This was expanded to N4–N6 in both Business and Engineering degrees in 1991.
In the early 1980s, the then-Department of Education established Ezakheni Technical College and Skills Centre.
Both training centers offered artisan instruction based on a block-release schedule, as well as three-month short skills courses in plumbing, motor mechanics, welding, and carpentry.
Nated courses ranging from N1 to N6 Engineering courses were available in the 1990s.
The College’s Central Office and Ladysmith Campus are located in the heart of Ladysmith, on the banks of the Klipriver.
The Ezakheni campuses are located in Ezakheni Township, some 25 kilometers outside of town.
The former Ezakheni Ex-College of Education buildings were transferred to Mnambithi TVET College by the Department of Education during the early part of 2008.
State-of-art On this land, workshops have been constructed, and it will be designated as an engineering campus.
Mnambithi TVET College inherited buildings at Estcourt in 2009, and a new campus in Bergville will be established soon.
Mnambithi TVET College’s goal is to reach more people and address their educational needs by adding more satellite campuses in the near future.

MNAMBITHI TVET COLLEGE ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
NC(V) Course Requirements;
In order to account for possible topic failures, students are allowed to study for a maximum of four years for NC (V) Levels 2, 3, and 4.
- NQF1 (Grade 9) and AET Level 4 are the minimum entry criteria.
- The NC (V) policy has led and aligned the entry requirements.
For qualification admission, a point system will be used.
Report 191 Courses Requirements;
- The NATED Policy establishes minimum entry standards.
N4 will admit students who have completed Grade 12/NC (V) Level 4. - Students who have completed grades 9, 10, 11, or 12 and choose to pursue a career as an artisan will be admitted to N1 on a point system.
Occupational Course Requirements;
- Minimum admittance requirements based on QCTO/SETA-approved registered Skills Programs/Learnerships.
- A student who has previously enrolled in NC(V) or Report 191 programs will only be considered for an Occupational Program if they have finished the NC(V) or Report 191 program in its entirety (passed all subjects).
Additional Requirements for Admission
- In order to improve the quality and performance of specialized programs, the College Council has established new admission requirements for NC(V) level 2, Report 191 N1, and Report 191 N4 using a point system.
