• Makwarela TVET College is a campus of Vhembe TVET College. It was created in 1963 as the region’s first technical college.
• Since then, it has undergone several adjustments in terms of addressing South Africans’ skills.
• Some of these changes included the institution’s names, which included Vocational College of Venda, Finyazwanda, and Technical College of Venda.
• It later contributed to the establishment of Mavhoi Technical College in 1983 and provided some of the staff with the opportunity to demonstrate their skills at the newly founded college.
• In 2002, the college established a second technical college in Mashamba, which became fully operational with the merger of technical colleges.
• The campus was originally known as East Campus until being renamed Makwarela in 2009.

DATE OF OPENING AND CLOSURE

• Letaba TVET College has begun online admissions for the class of 2023. New student applications close on November 26th, while returning student applications close on December 30th.

There will be no consideration for late applications.
