legal guardianship document nsfas 2024-2025
A few documents are required for the NSFAS application. Do you want to know if these documents include a Guardianship Affidavit? Here’s everything you need to know right now.
- Students’ inability to obtain tertiary education credentials from technical and vocational education and training (TVET) colleges and public universities frequently stem from the high cost of higher education and training.
- For eligible students, the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) bursary covers tuition, housing, transportation, food, allowances for textbooks, learning materials, and registration costs.
- According to NSFAS, affidavits for proof of legal guardianship are not accepted.
- According to the financial aid program, “we do not accept affidavits.” Either a Non-SASSA declaration form signed by a social worker or the “court-appointed legal guardianship” document must be submitted to us. The application can be found on our website.
- After receiving the results of their NSFAS application, unsuccessful students have thirty days to appeal their status as rejected.
- NSFAS announced that “students wishing to appeal must upload all required supporting documentation to substantiate the reasons for the appeal. Appeals should be submitted within 30 days of having been assessed as unsuccessful”.
