King Sabata Dalindyebo TVET College courses 2023-2024

King Sabata Dalindyebo TVET College, which is located in the Eastern Cape Province’s Eastern Region, is located in the O.R. Tambo District Municipality. Through three District Municipalities, it is advantageously placed to serve the Eastern and Northern Regions of the Eastern Cape Province’s most rural populations (O.R. Tambo, Amathole and Chris Hani District).

King Sabata Dalindyebo TVET College in the Eastern Cape serves 28 percent of the population. This location has the highest concentration of unemployed young people.
The following campuses make up the College: Mthatha, Libode, Mapuzi, Mngazi, Ngcobo, Ntabozuko, and Zimbane.
In 2002, three former technical colleges, Mapuzi, Mthatha, and Ngcobo, merged to establish King Sabata Dalindyebo TVET College.
Mthatha is home to the central administrative offices.at the former Cicira College of Education in the OR Tambo District Municipality’s King Sabata Dalindyebo Local Municipality.
The central administration offices share a small office space with the main college campus in Mthatha, which is located 10 kilometers outside of town in the direction of Queens town.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

NC(V) Course Requirements; NC(V) Course Requirements; NC(V) Course Requirements; NC

  • In order to account for possible topic failures, students are allowed to study for a maximum of four years for NC (V) Levels 2, 3, and 4.
  • NQF1 (Grade 9) and AET Level 4 are the minimum entry criteria.
  • The NC (V) policy has led and aligned the entry requirements.
    For qualification admission, a point system will be used.

Report 191 Courses Requirements;

  • The NATED Policy establishes minimum entry standards.
    N4 will admit students who have completed Grade 12/NC (V) Level 4.
  • Students who have completed grades 9, 10, 11, or 12 and choose to pursue a career as an artisan will be admitted to N1 on a point system.

Occupational Course Requirements;

  • Minimum admittance requirements based on QCTO/SETA-approved registered Skills Programs/Learnerships.
  • A student who has previously enrolled in NC(V) or Report 191 programs will only be considered for an Occupational Program if they have finished the NC(V) or Report 191 program in its entirety (passed all subjects).

Additional Requirements for Admission

  • In order to improve the quality and performance of specialized programs, the College Council has established new admission requirements for NC(V) level 2, Report 191 N1, and Report 191 N4 using a point system.
