About Kings Hinsta

  • The King Hintsa TVET College was formed via the merger of the old Centane Technical College, Teko Technical College, H.B. Tsengwa Technical College, and Idutywa Satellite, formerly known as Idutywa Community College.
  • The South Eastern Region of the Eastern Cape is where you’ll find this King Hintsa TVET College. In Butterworth, the Central Administration Office is situated on N2 Mthatha Road near WSU (Butterworth campus).
  • The college has two campuses in Mnquma Local Municipality and is located across two Local Municipalities (Centane, Teko, and Admin Center). The Dutywa and HB Tsengwa campuses are located in Mbashe Local Municipality.
  • There is a 60-kilometer distance between adjacent college campuses. The college provides NC (V), Report 191, and Skills Development programs at various campuses.
  • The King Hintsa TVET College is well known for training project-linked trainees, out-of-school youth, and adults, from those with weak academic backgrounds to those who have had opportunities to raise their educational level.

Report191 Engineering

Duration:

  • 11 weeks per N-level

Report191 Engineering Applicants Requirements for admission:

  • a national certificate in engineering studies, level N3;
  • A Senior Certificate with at least three offers of training that are applicable to the education offer that the program candidate has chosen;
  • An equal qualification
  • Only after successfully finishing the prior level, from N4 to N5, and so on, move on to the following step.
  • For a National Diploma, students must complete 18 months of relevant practical experience.

Report191 Business

Duration:

6 months per N-level

Admission requirements:

  • NSC / N3 / Grade 12 for N4
  • N4 for N5
  • a suitable National Certificate N3 Engineering Studies for N5; or

General:

  • Each subject lasts for six months (January to June or July to November). Each course requires enrollment in four topics.
  • Those who successfully completed Introductory N4, N4, N5, and N6 will receive a certificate in the relevant area of study.
  • Students must gain and complete 18 months of pertinent practical experience to be eligible for a National Diploma.

Short Courses

King Hintsa TVET College’s Teko Campus offers the following short courses:

Documents needed to apply

  • These papers must be submitted before applying to the college:
  • three certified copies of the learner’s ID
    three certified copies of the parent’s or legal guardian’s ID
    a single ID photo
    Grade 9 or above copy certified of the most recent school report
    a distinctive phone number and email

The King Hintsa Online Application Process

Step 1.

  • Choose the course you want to take; career assistance is offered.
    Fill out the application form, which is available in the Admin Center, all of our campuses, online here, and upon request, by mail or email.

Step 2.

  • Pay a non-refundable application fee; payment information is on the application form. Before applying, be sure you meet the minimum requirements.

Step 3.

  • Send the application, a certified copy of your ID, a copy of your most recent school report card, a copy of the parent or guardian’s ID, and payment documentation to the campus where you desire to enroll.

Step 4.

  • Before applying, foreign applicants must verify their credentials with SAQA; if this is not done, no foreign students will be admitted.

Step 5.

  • Following the submission of your application, the institution will let you know if you have been accepted and will demand that you take a placement test before you are expected to attend classes.
