ABOUT GERT SIBANDE TVET COLLEGE
Gert Sibande TVET College is named after Gert Sibande, an Eastern Transvaal agricultural workers’ leader, African National Congress activist, and one of the first-string defendants in the 1956 to 1961 Treason Trial.
Gert Sibande was born in the Ermelo district in 1902, the son of a tenant farmer. The Gert Sibande TVET College in Mpumalanga, South Africa, is located in the province of Mpumalanga. Nationally accredited, unit-standard-based, and SAQA-approved training programs are available at the college.
Qualified individuals are available to give relevant education and training in Educational Programs aimed at enabling learners to live productive lives and make important contributions to their communities and the nation as a whole. Training is provided by qualified moderators and assessors in compliance with the Department of Higher Education’s instruction.

REQUIREMENTS FOR ELIGIBILITY
Everyone applying to college will be asked to submit the following documents:
- a certified copy of the applicant’s most recent school results/qualifications
- Proof of admission fee payment (certified copy of parent/guardian ID)

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Proof of payment of your registration fee. Compulsory for all applicants.

GERT SIBANDE TVET COLLEGE COURSES ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Course Requirements for NC(V);
- Students are allowed to study for a maximum of four years for NC (V) Levels 2, 3, and 4 to account for any topic failures.
- The minimal entrance requirements are NQF1 (Grade 9) and AET Level 4.
- The admission requirements have been driven and coordinated by the NC (V) policy.
- A point system will be utilized to determine qualification admittance.
Requirements for 191 Courses;
- The NATED Policy defines entrance requirements.
- Students who have completed Grade 12/NC (V) Level 4 will be admitted to N4.
- On a point system, students who have finished grades 9, 10, 11, or 12 and choose to pursue a profession as an artisan will be admitted to N1.
Requirements for Occupational Courses;
- Minimum admissions requirements based on registered Skills Programs/Learnerships recognized by the QCTO/SETA.
- Students who have previously participated in NC(V) or Report 191 programs will only be accepted for an Occupational Program if they have completed the whole NC(V) or Report 191 program (passed all subjects).
Additional Admissions Requirements
- The College Council has created new admission requirements for NC(V) level 2, Report 191 N1, and Report 191 N4 utilizing a point system in order to improve the quality and performance of specialized programs.
