INTRODUCTION TO GERT SIBANDE TVET COLLEGE
Gert Sibande TVET College was named after Gert Sibande, a farm workers’ leader in the Eastern Transvaal, an African National Congress activist, and one of the first-string defendants in the 1956 to 1961 Treason Trial.
Gert Sibande, the son of a tenant farmer, was born in the Ermelo district in 1902. Mpumalanga, South Africa’s Gert Sibande TVET College is located in the province of Mpumalanga.
The college offers nationally accredited, unit-standard-based, and SAQA-approved training programs.
Qualified and qualified personnel are available to provide relevant education and training in Educational Programs aimed at enabling learners to live productive lives and contribute meaningfully to their communities and the nation as a whole.
Qualified moderators and assessors provide training in accordance with the Department of Higher Education’s directive to implement Outcomes-Based Education using e-Learning methodology to serve both on-site and distant learners.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
The following are extremely important and will be required of everyone applying to college:
- Copy of the applicant’s latest school results/qualifications on a certified ID
- Proof of payment of entry fee (certified ID copy of parent/guardian)
- A unique email address as well as a phone number are required.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Proof of payment of your registration fee. Compulsory for all applicants.
- SA citizens are required to provide certified copies of their identifications documents/birth certificates. International applicants are required to provide their certified passport or their passport numbers. Applicants without these things, applications will not be processed.
- Exam Results: Copies of grade 11 and 12 results must be attached to your application. Applicants with grade 11 results prior to sitting for grade 12 examinations can still apply.

GERT SIBANDE TVET COLLEGE ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
NC(V) Course Requirements;
- In order to account for possible topic failures, students are allowed to study for a maximum of four years for NC (V) Levels 2, 3, and 4.
- NQF1 (Grade 9) and AET Level 4 are the minimum entry criteria.
- The NC (V) policy has led and aligned the entry requirements.
For qualification admission, a point system will be used.
Report 191 Courses Requirements;
- The NATED Policy establishes minimum entry standards.
N4 will admit students who have completed Grade 12/NC (V) Level 4. - Students who have completed grades 9, 10, 11, or 12 and choose to pursue a career as an artisan will be admitted to N1 on a point system.
Occupational Course Requirements;
- Minimum admittance requirements based on QCTO/SETA -approved registered Skills Programs/Learnerships.
- A student who has previously enrolled in NC(V) or Report 191 programs will only be considered for an Occupational Program if they have finished the NC(V) or Report 191 program in its entirety (passed all subjects).
Additional Requirements for Admission
- In order to improve the quality and performance of specialized programs, the College Council has established new admission requirements for NC(V) level 2, Report 191 N1, and Report 191 N4 using a point system.
