INTRODUCTION TO FLAVIUS MAREKA TVET COLLEGE COURSES
Flavius Mareka TVET College courses 2023-2024
Sasolburg Technical College, Kroonstad Technical College, and Mphohadi College of Education merged to form Flavius Mareka TVET College in 2000.
The college’s name was inspired by Mr Flavius Mareka, a well-known figure in educational, cultural, and political circles.
He was born in the town of Kroonstad and died in the year 1965.
Flavius Mareka TVET College has three locations. The Sasolburg campus is split into two halves, one for Engineering and the other for Business. The other two campuses in the Kroonstad area are the Kroonstad and Mphohadi campuses. In addition to providing full-time and part-time academic programs, Flavius Mareka TVET College is proud of the fact that it delivers education and training to communities. the university’s three campuses Across the country, a range of leadership and skills programs are available. Heilbron, Parys, Koppies, and Villiers are among the province’s smaller towns.

Admission Requirements for NCV Courses
Engineering and Civil Construction
- Grade 9: Pass with 50 percent math and 50 percent science.
- Grade 10: Pass with 50 percent in math and 50 percent in science.
- Failed 50 percent of math and 50 percent of science in grade 11
Mathematics and Science in Grade 12.
Construction of Electrical Infrastructure
- Grade 9: Pass with 50 percent math and 50 percent science.
- Grade 10: Pass with 50 percent in math and 50 percent in science.
- Failed 50 percent of math and 50 percent of science in grade 11
Mathematics and Science in Grade 12.
Engineering and Design Related to Engineering
- Grade 9: Pass with 50 percent math and 50 percent science.
- Grade 10: Pass with 50 percent in math and 50 percent in science.

UPP Bridging Programs
If you are denied admission to the university but have a 20-point AP and meet the Minimum Admission Requirements, you may enroll in a University Preparation Program (UPP) to get access.
After successfully completing a bridge year, the program allows prospective students to continue their studies at higher education institutions.
- A National Senior Certificate (NSC) and an AP of 20-24
