Sasolburg Technical College, Kroonstad Technical College, and Mphohadi College of Education combined to become Flavius Mareka TVET College, which was established in 2000. The college’s name was derived from Mr. Flavius Mareka, a prominent figure in political, cultural, and academic circles. He passed away in 1965 and was born in Kroonstad.
One of the 50 public Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Colleges in South Africa that operate under the direction of the Department of Higher Education and Training is Flavius Mareka TVET College (DHET). The College, which focuses on the development of critical skills, is one of the largest technical and vocational education and training service providers in the nation.

There are three campuses for Flavius Mareka TVET College. Two locations on the Sasolburg campus are dedicated to offering courses in engineering studies and business studies, respectively. The Kroonstad neighborhood is home to the Mphohadi campus and the other two campuses.
Flavius Mareka TVET College takes pride in the fact that it brings education and training to communities in addition to providing full-time and part-time formal programs at its three campuses. Smaller communities like Heilbron, Parys, Koppies, and Villiers provide a variety of leadership and skills programs throughout the Free State province.
