The Ekurhuleni West TVET College is located in the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality in the Gauteng Province of South Africa.
The FET Colleges Act no 16 of 2006, as modified, governs Ekurhuleni West Technical, Vocational, Education and Training College (EWC).
It was formed under the Further Education and Training Act, Act No.98 of 1998, according to the Member of the Executive Council (MEC) for Education (Gauteng Province) in an Extraordinary Provincial Gazette. (from the 7th of December, 2001).
Students who have excelled academically but require financial assistance can seek for it through the College. Bursaries from the Department of Higher Education and Training are available to current and prospective students at the College. Students interested in applying for these bursaries must do so through the College.
