INTRODUCTION TO ESAYIDI TVET COLLEGE

Esayidi TVET College is a Technical Vocational Education and Training institution in South Africa’s KwaZulu-Natal Province’s Lower South Coast.
The College was established in 2003 by the merger of the old Port Shepstone and Enyenyezi Technical Colleges.
Esayidi TVET College aspires to be a model institution and the leading supplier of relevant, high-quality, and affordable TVET education in a stable and secure environment.
Throughout the Southern KZN Region, the College has six campuses and many Community Development Centers.

Financial aid is provided to students who have excelled academically but are in need of financial assistance.
The Department of Higher Education and Training awards bursaries to academically deserving students, both current and prospective, who are in financial need.
If students are in desperate need of financial assistance, they should apply for these bursaries.

ESAYIDI TVET COLLEGE ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

NC(V) Course Requirements;

  • In order to account for possible topic failures, students are allowed to study for a maximum of four years for NC (V) Levels 2, 3, and 4.
  • NQF1 (Grade 9) and AET Level 4 are the minimum entry criteria.
  • The NC (V) policy has led and aligned the entry requirements.
    For qualification admission, a point system will be used.

Report 191 Courses Requirements;

  • The NATED Policy establishes minimum entry standards.
    N4 will admit students who have completed Grade 12/NC (V) Level 4.
  • Students who have completed grades 9, 10, 11, or 12 and choose to pursue a career as an artisan will be admitted to N1 on a point system.

Occupational Course Requirements;

  • Minimum entrance requirements as per registered Skills Program/Learnership approved by QCTO/SETA
  • To be eligible to apply for an Occupational Program a student who previously enrolled for NC(V) or Report 191 programs will only be considered if such a student has fully completed the NC(V) or Report 191 program (passed all subjects).

Additional Requirements for Admission

  • In order to improve the quality and performance of specialized programs, the College Council has established new admission requirements for NC(V) level 2, Report 191 N1, and Report 191 N4 using a point system.
