INTRODUCTIONS TO COASTAL TVET COLLEGE

Coastal TVET College is a South African Technical Vocational Education and Training institution located in the KwaZulu-Natal province.
The College is the largest in the province of KwaZulu-Natal, with eight campuses and four skills centers.
Former Durban Technical College, Swinton Road Technical College, Umlazi Technical College, Umnumbulu and Appelsbosch Colleges of Education merged to become the College.
Coastal KZN TVET College delivers high-quality education and training for the greater community by offering a diverse range of programs, a robust student support system, and the most effective use of available resources.

Bursaries are financial help provided by the Department of Higher Education and Training to students in need.
These are administered by the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS). bursaries.

APPLICATION DEADLINE

  • The Coastal TVET College, like other South African TVET Colleges, has two application divisions.
    First-semester applications typically begin in January, February, or March of each year, whereas second-semester applications typically begin in April or June of each year.
    The application period for the following academic year begins the previous year.
  • Admissions applications are available at all times of the year.
    Application forms are available to everyone who qualifies for admission.
    The dates for the individual semesters’ closings are set at the start of each academic year.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • National Certificate (Vocational): NQF Levels 2 – 4
  • NC(V) LQF Level 2: Grade 9 or Grade 12
  • Report 191 National Certificate N4 (Business and General Studies)
  • Grade 12/ N3/ NQF Level 4
  • Report 191 National Certificate Engineering N4
  • Grade 12 (with Mathematics and Science)
  • N3 Engineering
  • NQF Level 4
