The late Minister, Prof. Kadar Asmal, inaugurated the terrain for the then Further Education and Training (FET) sector on September 11, 2003, when he opened Central Johannesburg TVET College (CJC) at our Alexandra Campus. FET’s name has been changed to Technical and Vocational Education and Training by the current Minister, Dr. Bonginkosi E. Nzimande (TVET).
The Department of Higher Education and Training is in charge of the 50 public TVET colleges in South Africa (DHET). There are eight TVET colleges in Gauteng. The College has eight campuses: Ellis Park, Parktown, Alexandra, Riverlea, Langlaagte, Crown Mines, Smit Street, and Troyeville. Open for 2023 applications:

Online applications for Central Johannesburg Tvet College are anticipated to close on September 1 for some programs and on November 30 for all programs. Note: The application deadline may change without prior notice, so always get confirmation from the school administration.
Prospective students are encouraged to fill out an application for Central Johannesburg Tvet College’s class of 2023. Prospectus applicants may now apply to Central Johannesburg Tvet College. For the academic year 2023, The College advises prospective students to submit their applications early via the online application form (Hard-Copy).

For students from abroad

-A certified copy of the most recent academic credential
Current study permission will last until the conclusion of the applicable study period
