It will allow students to search for institutions based on a variety of factors, such as location, price, and type of institution. In addition, the application will allow students to make an online application and receive immediate feedback regarding their application.

  • The objective of Western TVET College is to provide high-quality education and training that benefits both students and the community. They provide a variety of courses as well as public adult learning centers for students wishing to complete AET levels 1, 2, 3, and 4. (NQF Level 1). College of Western TVET requirements for admission to TVET colleges.

Standards for NC(V) Courses;

For NC (V) Levels 2, 3, and 4, students are allowed to study for a total of four years, accounting for potential subject failures.

  • NQF1, or Grade 9 and AET Level 4, is the minimum admittance criterion.
    The NC (V) policy has served as a reference for and alignment with the entry requirements. There will be a point system in place for qualification admission.

Standards for Report 191 Courses;

  • Minimum standards for admission in accordance with NATED Policy. Students admitted to N4 will have completed Grade 12/NC (V) Level 4.
    Requirements for Occupational Courses: Students who have completed grades 9, 10, 11, or 12 and want to pursue an artisan vocation will be admitted to N1 based on a point system;
  • Minimum entrance standards for registered skills programs and apprenticeships that have been approved by QCTO/SETA
    A student who has previously enrolled in NC(V) or Report 191 programs will only be taken into consideration if they have successfully finished the NC(V) or Report 191 program (passed all subjects)

Additional Requirements for Entry

  • To increase the effectiveness and quality of specialized programs, the College Council has established additional admission requirements using a point system for NC(V) level 2, Report 191 N1, and Report 191 N4.
